Francisca makes art with plants, paper, and fabric from her studio in Portugal. She started this Fest because she wanted a summer full of nature, creativity, and real connection.
This year the theme is Roots & Wings. She opens Day 1 and closes Day 20. And in between, she invited 9 artists who each bring something completely different to the table.
Roots, because everything we make comes from somewhere. Wings, because making art is also about letting go. Together we are building a celebration of mixed media and nature, one class at a time.
A simple rhythm that keeps creativity flowing all summer long.
A new artist shares a creative project, technique, or invitation.
Follow along, adapt the idea, or let it inspire something entirely your own.
See how hundreds of artists interpret the same lesson in completely different ways.
Return the next day for a fresh lesson, a new artist, and another spark of inspiration.
For 20 days, artists from around the world gather to create, experiment, share, and inspire one another.

MEET THE ARTISTS

Fragmented Nature
Francisca makes art with plants, paper, and fabric from her studio in Portugal. She started this Fest because she wanted a summer full of nature, creativity, and real connection. She opens Day 1 and closes Day 20.

Rooted in Bloom
A lifelong maker who found healing in her own journal and built studio spaces where others could do the same. A self-proclaimed art cheerleader who believes art is your truest act of self love.

Known as Words and Pictures. Her work grew from a career in theatre into watercolour, mixed media, and collage. Nature, storytelling, and the colours of the seasons are at the heart of everything she makes.

Cindy, is a mixed media artist with a love for art journals, bright colours, quirky design, and anything vintage. She believes creative play is a gift you give yourself. She spreads joy with her art, and her quirky style extends well beyond the studio.

An artist driven by print and pattern. She has spent a decade refining gel plate printing with botanicals from her garden, alongside collagraph and lino. A former graphic designer and art teacher, that visual precision shows in everything she makes.

A contemplative mixed media artist, writer and educator who works with old textiles, found nature, slow stitching, paint and collage. Her practice is rooted in mindfulness, wabi sabi, and the healing power of creativity.

An artist from the Netherlands inspired by nature every single day. She works in painting and art journaling, drawn to florals, birds, colour, and the beauty of imperfection. Her journal is a daily practice, a place to observe, process, and keep her heart happy.

A visual artist whose work explores emotion, nature, and the inner world. Her paintings are atmospheric and explorative, an ongoing dialogue between what is felt and what seeks expression.

Chasing Blue
A botanical artist and mojo maker from the Alberta prairies. She works in eco-printing, cyanotype, and encaustic wax, blending flowers, berries, and thread into dreamlike pieces rooted in nature.

The artist behind RaspberryBlueSky, a mixed media artist, art journalist, and alternative bookbinder living in the Bavarian countryside near Lake Ammer. She believes in the alchemy of creation and the magic of making without expectation. Co-founder of the German Art Journal Festival, she celebrates creativity with artists around the world.
