Small air-dry clay tokens made with the leaves, seeds and flowers you gather outside
A seed head here, a fern frond there, a leaf with a hole a beetle made. Most of it used to dry and crumble on my windowsill. This year I wanted to keep those walks in a way that lasts, so I started pressing them into clay.
This is what I want to share with you.
They can go into a journal or an artist book, hang on a thread, or sit on a shelf as a small record of where you walked.

What to look for on a walk, how to prepare the clay so it is smooth and even, how to press your botanicals for clear, detailed tokens, and how to paint them while the clay is still raw.
New shapes, different coatings before painting, and the many ways to use your tokens: in journals and artist books, stitched onto fabric, hung on a thread or kept as a small collection.
